We look forward to seeing all students walking to their class promptly when the 6.45pm bell sounds so that we can assemble in our area.

Learn, Experience, Grow Week has begun with students assembling for the Flag Raising Ceremony in the quad. A didgeridoo pllayer from Trinity College enhanced the experience by playing for us.
Students will take part in a variety of activities throughout the week so there will be changes to when various uniforms should be worn. Please see the attached information poster.
CHOIR students attending the Carnivale on Thursday should however wear full school uniform but bring sneakers to school to change into when they return.
Those choir students should also take a recess snack and drink in a labelled bag.
On Friday all students are asked to come to school in cultural dress. This can either reflect their family culture or can be one of their choosing.

On Thursday 11 August the Year 3 students celebrated the Sacrament of Penance, also known as First Reconciliation. The students prepared very well and examined their consciences before being presented to make their first confession. It was a very special time and the students behaved very reverently.
The following day both Year 3 classes joined together and celebrated with some delicious chocolate cake!

To start the term in Year 3 we have focused on co-operative learning through Physical Education. The students were broken into small groups and completed a variety of challenges. The challenges included a variety of skills that they will use in the athletics carnival such as throwing, catching, sprinting and team work. They also learnt some new skills such as cup stacking, wheelbarrowing and hurdling. We now move onto learning the team games for the carnival and practising our sprinting.

Photo order envelopes should be brought in tomorrow and they will be collected by the photographer. Envelopes should not be handed into the school office.

This term in Physical Education we have focused on AFL. We have learnt how to kick, handpass and even tackle. The week we learnt to tackle involved plenty of giggling! Last week the Perth Demon's visited and we got to play a game.

First Reconciliation Meeting.Callan and I would like to say a big thank you to all parents who attended the First Reconciliation meeting this Tuesday. It was great to see so many parents involved in the faith journey of their children and we hope you left with some ideas on how you can support them at home.
If you were unable to attend could you please contact your classroom teacher to collect a pack containing information covered on the evening. The pack also contains important information about the day it self so please ensure these are collected.
As next week is the last week for term two (hooray!) we remind families that the EduDance concert is on Friday 1 July 2016. We have decided that both classes will follow the same dress requirement which is simply to bring along a bright coloured t-shirt to wear for the performance. Sport pants will be fine. Gloves will be provided by instructors to complete the outfit.
